Mark was Cathy Richardson's first grandchild and although she said she never had a favourite, she always had a soft spot for Mark. She kept him in knitted clothes until he was too big to wear them and would have done almost anything for him. In return Mark loved his granny almost as much and would always be the first to offer to help her in anyway he could.
